I asked his two cents since he was just there about a week ago:

"It's not clear, but it's the same ticket, I suspect she can check her bags all the way through to her first destination in the US where she'll have to go through customs.

If not, I don't think it will be a problem. I found the ground crew at GRU to be unbelievably efficient. The only sticking point could be going through Brazilian customs, which for me was a snap, but could be chaotic at busy times."

Ciao,
AndrewAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05763404083374578622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13247962.post-31196741118575113252009-01-18T23:25:00.000-08:002009-01-18T23:25:00.000-08:00Fun to randomly find you - was looking for advice ...Fun to randomly find you - was looking for advice re: the plane trip from Rio to San Paulo on my way back to the US. When I go from Rio to San Paulo, do you know if I'll need to get my luggage (flying TAM/United), and then check it all in again and go through customs at the San Paulo GRU airport? If so, do you think 2 hours and 20 minutes will be enough time to do it all and still catch my evening flight to the US? Thanks for any advice you have : )

- Jen in Mount Shasta, CAAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16574399112296745154noreply@blogger.com
